Basics of coding in Matlab/dynare

IMPORTANT NOTE: Because of continued global pandemic of Covid-19 the training will be conducted online.

 

The course teaches basic skills for coding in Matlab and DYNARE, a macroeconomic modelling toolbox. The participants will learn practical tricks and tips for coding macroeconomic models, using them for quantitative simulations and forecasting.

 

Learning Outcomes

Participants will learn:

  • write macroeconomic model scripts,
  • design and simulate complex mcroeconomic scenarios,
  • construct unconditional and conditional and forecasts.

  

Target Audience

The course is designed for beginer users of Matlab/DYNARE or users who wishe to brushup their skills.

 

Training format

Training delivery is virtual (via Zoom). A total of 6 hours of instructions; distributed over three sessions, each of 2 hours.

 

Training fee

USD 70, (early bird) registrations and payments received by 1 October 2021.

USD 90, registrations and payments received after 1 October 2021.
