Grant Spencer

Grant Spencer is a central banker with 30 years of experience in monetary policy, financial stability, and financial markets. He is a former Acting Governor and Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. He is the former chair of the Working Group on Financial Markets, and the deputy chair of the Monetary and Financial Stability Committee of EMEAP central banks. Prior to his executive roles at the Reserve Bank, he worked as a Special Adviser and Alternate Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund, and at various executive roles in ANZ Bank New Zealand. Grant is a keen cyclist and hiker.
